EuLA: Lime in mortars – Masonry mortars, plasters and renders – A proven sustainable and economical solution
The European Lime Association (EuLA) commissioned an independent institute to provide an exhaustive overview of the internationally available scientific publications relating to mortar functionalities and performance of lime-based mortars.
To disseminate the results of these research, EuLA has edited some leaflets in the form of a folder containing several inserts on key benefits of lime based mortars. You can download the full document, integrating all leaflets, on the right column of this page. Or you can continue reading and download each document individually.
The folder describes how masonry structures built with lime-based mortars are proven sustainable and economical solutions. In particular, these structures contribute to:
- a healthy indoor environment,
- improved aesthetics,
- longer life of the building,
- ease and low cost of maintenance.
The folder is complemented with 6 inserts:
- EuLA – Lime in mortars – Benefits for the owner (leaflet)
- EuLA – Lime in mortars – Benefits for the designer (leaflet)
- EuLA – Lime in mortars – Benefits for the contractor (leaflet)
- EuLA – Lime in mortars – Plasters – Benefits and guidance (leaflet)
- EuLA – Lime in mortars – Renders – Benefits and guidance (leaflet)
