1 December 2011

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for lime and dolomite-based products are now harmonised at European level, and validated by the European Lime Association (EuLA). These new SDS have been prepared in accordance with Annex II of the REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and will be modified in the coming months to prepare for the GHS (Global Harmonised System), with new pictograms for the health and environmental risks. The GHS is scheduled for substances within the EU during 2010 (CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008).

SDS shall be widely distributed to all persons in contact with the products of the Lime Industry (workers, transporters, users, retailers, emergency responders …).

Legal disclaimer: The SDS published on the EuLA website should be considered as a recommendation and do not in any means replace the SDS issued by the individual companies, who hold the final responsibility for their products.
