Classification & Labelling
What is it?
CLP stands for the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on the Classification, Labeling and Packaging of substances and mixtures. The Regulation is based on the United Nations’ Globally Harmonised System (GHS) and its purpose is to ensure a high level of protection of health and the environment, as well as the free movement of substances, mixtures and articles.
Lime substances are classified according to CLP as:
- Skin irritant 2 – H315: Causes skin irritation.
- Eye Damage 1 – H318 Causes serious eye damage.
- STOT SE 3 – H 335: May cause respiratory irritation.
